What: Celebrating 100 years of the Cartier Panthère with special guest DJ Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

When: November 12, 2014

Where: A pier-turned-cavernous-jungle at Skylight Clarkson Square, New York. Guests entered through adjoining rooms, one that housed an exhibition-like setting with “artifacts” including stone busts, previous stones, and old prints. The following room showcased the jewelry house’s panther collection, some of which were made exclusively for the anniversary; guests were invited to try the exquisite accessories on. The last room hosted plush green velvet lounges and chairs, DJ booth, bar, and dance floor.

Who: The start-studded crowd included Rooney Mara, Sandra Brant, Harry Brant, Neville Wakefield, Indre Rockefeller, Brooke Shields, Chloe Sevigny, Leandra Medine, and Waris Ahluwalia.

Why: After 100 years of la Panthère Cartier, the iconic house decided it was an appropriate time to throw a bash.

The Moment: Unofficial honorary guest Rooney Mara saunters into the party with her signature slicked back hair, dark lips, and LBD.

The Occasion: A retrospective of objects created between 1900 and 1975, the exhibition “Brilliant: Cartier in the 20th Century“, will open at the Denver Art Museum November 16, 2014.
