French Culture Minister Supports Nicolas Bourriaud

Many believed that Nicolas Bourriaud was on the brink of being fired over Paris’ art school scandal. But France’s culture minister Aurélie Filippetti has shown she stands by the controversial director. Following a meeting on June 20, the ministry published a press release stating that Filippetti told Bourriaud she trusted his leadership, while reminding him that nurturing “quality work from teaching staff and students” should remain at the heart of the school’s project.
