Are you in Switzerland right now for artgenève? Then you’re in luck: This once-a-year event has grown over its last six editions to become a firmly established mega-important stop on the international art fair circuit. This year, they’re bigger and better than ever, with galleries like Perrotin, Galerie Mitterrand, and Blain|Southern partipating.

But if you’re looking to get out and sample Geneva’s local gallery scene, we don’t blame you. To that that end, let’s take a quick survey of what’s on and unmissable at the moment. First up, you’ve got American artist Michael Scott on view at Galerie Xippas, where he brings his signature blend of conceptualism and abstraction. He calls his aesthetic “Op Art on acid”—go and see for yourself if he’s got it right. Then, visit Galerie Artvera’s current group show of contemporary Korean art, which includes the scintillating, colorful paintings of Park HeeSeop. Be sure to visit BAILLY GALLERY for the delightfully retro fashion illustrations of Yves Clerc, as well as Galerie Patrick Gutknecht for its eclectically curated “DIALOGUES” group show featuring interesting pieces by Jean-Claude Farhi, Pierre Reimer, and Yoko Ono, among others. Lastly, not to be missed is Galerie Mezzanin’s meditative installation of the quiet work of Mandla Reuter, which spans a range of media but somehow manages to feel very distinct to the artist.
