It seems that there’s a start-up company for everything these days, but this one might be the weirdest one yet: Genetic Ink is creating artwork based on DNA imaging technology. If you’re interested, contact the company to send away for a DNA collection kit. Mail back a cheek swab from you, your mom, your dog, or your cat, and they will use an algorithm to generate a unique image based on the DNA sequence in your choice of 17 colors and four different sizes.

Genetic Ink boasts an FDA-approved lab and promises all DNA will be stored anonymously to ensure privacy protection. Prices range from $200 to $700 depending on the canvas size.
