Julian Lennon Wants To Meet Stephen Hawking in Instagram Interview

In our 15-second video, Lennon answers some of our sillier questions.

In anticipation of the opening of his show “Horizon” at Emmanuel Fremin Gallery, artnet News caught up with photographer, filmmaker, and musician Julian Lennon. Filmed at the gallery, Lennon spoke to us about his humanitarian travels to Africa, which inspired the works in the show, but he also answered some of our sillier questions.

He let us in on a few personal secrets, including his desire to meet Stephen Hawking, his curiosities about the future, and why he would choose to be a “bacon butty.”

Part of a series we created for Instagram, this short video joins other others we’ve created, including interviews with Takashi Murakami (see Takashi Murakami’s Favorite Things), Moby (see Moby Says He Wants To Meet Jesus in Instagram Interview), and José Parlá (see José Parlá Uses His Art to Solve Visual “Problems”).

Check out our full interview to hear what else Lennon had to say.

Teaser filmed by artnet News director of digital media Aaron Sherman. Interview by Cait Munro.
