Kanye and Kim’s Baby North Uses Hermès Bag as Canvas

Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, and Baby North.

For the celebrity-crazed media outlets like People, every detail in the life of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West is of intense interest.  Now, the activities of North West, the couple’s 15-month-old daughter are in the spotlight, and the news has even reached the rarefied realm of the art world. According to an interview with Kardashian, published in People, North West, the couple’s 15-month-old daughter already shows signs of an artistic inclination.

For Kardashian’s 34th birthday, Kanye West presented her with a Hermès bag. “Kanye had a box, this Hermès purse, and I opened it and I thought it was so cool,” Kardashian told People. “It was all painted really cool,” the ever-articulate reality TV star explained. “I thought it was an artist that painted the purse…I thought it was some new artist, and it was my daughter. It was amazing and I have it all on video.” If there’s ever a future revival of “Work of Art,” the now-defunct art world reality show, producers will know who to call on.

This isn’t the first time Kanye has presented her with a much-coveted Hermès custom-painted handbag. Just last year, the rapper gifted his dream girl an Hermès Birkin bag hand-painted by artist, George Condo. A pricey piece of canvas, we wonder how Kim will use her new birthday bag—will it be another diaper carry-all for baby North?
