The Madness of Art: Water Under the Bridge – Season 5 Episode 1

The Madness of Art returns with an episode about art world exclusivity

The Madness of Art returns with an episode about art world exclusivity in “Water Under the Bridge,” its Season 5 premiere.

In the season premiere, Jim hires his notorious cousin Billy to serve as a doorman at his elitist VIP art opening. The blundering Billy, who is known  for screwing up jobs for Jim, lives up to his reputation once again. The episode will be released on September 24 to inaugurate the new season of the webseries the Huffington Post calls “the art world parody show you should be watching.”

Cousin Billy first appeared in Season Four, Episode 11 as Jim’s down on his luck relative ready to do anything for a couple of bucks.  Jim sends Billy out to a collector’s apartment to collect money owed the gallery. Unfortunately Jim seems to have forgotten Billy’s complete lack of common sense, not to mention his difficulty finding addresses due to childhood dyslexia.

Also in the premier episode is Jim’s loyal sidekick and gallery director Dru Arstark, who asks if her cousin Greg can come to the opening. After all, he is family. Unfortunately for Dru, he’s not Jim’s family.

Throughout four seasons, The Madness of Art has showcased a wry sense of humor every art lover and skeptic can enjoy. The Madness of Art acknowledges the absurd moments in the sometimes too serious art world!
