This week's guide features VALIE EXPORT, Marie Bovo, Piette et Giles, and more.

You’re never short of art options when you’re in Paris. Want a megamuseum experience stacked to the rafters with Western masterpieces? Head to the Louvre. Want your Modern and contemporary fix? The Centre Pompidou has you covered. Passionate about pre-colonial art from Africa, Oceania, and beyond? The Musée du Quai Branly is for you.

But if those are all old hat to you by now, you should also be exploring the city’s gallery scene. This month, you’ve got plenty of good choices: Galerie kamel mennour is currently hosting a new body of work Spanish artist Marie Bovo. Made over a series of long train journeys across Russia, Bovo’s photographs invite viewers to explore winter landscapes within their larger sociopolitical context. Then, Galerie Lelong & Co. – Paris presents the textile wall hangings of Etel Adnan, featuring colorful 70s palettes in inventive abstract compositions. Next, be sure to visit Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac for their survey of the Body Configurations series of VALIE EXPORT. The artist—who spells her self-given name in all caps—is a powerful performer, and one who is overlooked outside of Europe. If you’re not familiar with her practice, this show offers an excellent chance to remedy that.

And that’s not even the half of it. Let’s not even go into the latest Jeff Koons flower sculpture controversy—you’ve got a bunch of must-see gallery shows to go to, so eyes on the prize. You’re too busy seeing art that’s actually on display to get distracted.
