Hopefully, the peak of the heat dome is behind us. While everyone was busy trying to avoid the sun, we found the perfect solution to stay cool: Remember La Dolce Vita (1960) by Federico Fellini? Well, we don’t particularly recommend trying to cavort in the Trevi fountain like Anita Ekberg, but how about a fresh gelato in Roma? Or a nice Vespa tour to enjoy sightseeing and the fresh Italian air? Above all, treat yourself with some quality art time: La Bella Roma will make your day with an exhibition of Frank Gehry’s animated and dynamic light sculptures at Gagosian Gallery. If you have ever wondered what it was like to live in the capital of Italy in the early 1960s, get an immersive experience at the Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Roma which currently explores one of the most exciting periods of the city through works by Jannis Kounellis, Gianfranco Baruchello, or Mario Schifano. At another venue, artworks by major artists such as Martin Creed, Anselm Kiefer, and Richard Long, among others, are displayed at Galleria Lorcan O’Neill Roma. Good news, you have until September to enjoy one of the most exciting exhibitions of the summer.
Grab some European vibes, try some local delicacies, chill out and relax under the Italian cypresses, and you’ll understand the true meaning of la vita è bella!
