This week's guide features Chris Maynard, Daniel McCoy, Duncan Chamberlain, and more.

There’s no shortage of art venues in Santa Fe. Whether your speed is the elegant Georgia O’Keeffe Museum or the quirky George R.R. Martin-backed Meow Wolf, the city’s got your back. Currently, we recommend heading to some of the local standouts like Charlotte Jackson Fine Art, where you can take in a summer show of boldly colorful sculpture by artists like Charles Arnoldi, Robert Kelly, and William Metcalf. For lush painterly portraits, LewAllen Galleries presents some Bay Area Figuration-adjacent work in “Figures of Paradox” by the controversial Fritz Scholder. Next, be sure to head to Gerald Peters Gallery, Santa Fe for its double feature of the delicate work of Chris Maynard and the sturdy abstraction of painter Harold Joe Waldrum. Lastly, the IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts is currently host to two exhibitions we’re particularly excited about: the group show “Vision and Visionaries” and the solo presentation of Daniel McCoy’s rock-n-roll aesthetic, making it well worth a trip.
