Returning for its 23rd edition, Scope Art Show will alight in Miami Beach December 3–8, 2024, set to welcome 86 exhibitors and over 100,000 visitors. The contemporary art fair is primed for a new and expansive chapter, and it recently announced that its first-ever director has been appointed, Hayley River Smith. Working alongside fair founder Alexis Hubshman, Smith, as well as two additional new members of the fair’s leadership team, Head of Strategy and Partnerships Michael Papadeas and Client Experience Manager Tatiana Zancajo, highlights Scope Art Show’s commitment to innovation and mission to bring the best of contemporary art to an international stage.

The heart of the forthcoming edition of the fair centers on themes and ideas around interdependence, and the power of collaboration. More than just a fair, Scope is an evolving and expanding ecosystem comprised of gallerists and advisors, artists and collectors, curators and more. Paying homage to the relationships and experiences that grow from the convergence of the international art world, large-scale installations at the fair will explore the interconnectedness of individuals, communities, and the greater art world.

Hubshman noted, “Scope Art Show has always pushed the boundaries of what an art show is, providing a platform for level setting the culture shifters of our industry—the art enthusiasts, creators, Curators, galleries, and their artists. By aiming to culturally engineer a unique exchange, Scope is the gravity and catalyst for the collaborative interdependence of these distinct yet interconnected groups coming together.”

Bringing a spotlight to interdependence, both within the fair itself as well as the international arts community, promises to not only inform the art installations on view but the visitor and exhibitor experience overall. Fostering and promoting connection, Scope stands to become more than an art fair, but a source of partnerships and expanding perspectives, together furthering the fair’s core mission.

“The vast range of exciting presentations and programming at Scope Art Show will leave audiences feeling curious and inspired,” said Smith. “There are many opportunities for dynamic dialogue across our audiences, from our visitors to our exhibitors to our partners. Visitors will have a chance to discover presentations of our incredible galleries and artists, participate in programming, and tap into their own creativity—and through this they will be part of the interconnected, collaborative ecosystem that defines Scope.”
