Art lovers, right now is the time to make a plan. Galleries are currently closed and gearing up for the September onslaught, and you should do the same. For those of you in Brussels, we’ve created this handy art guide to plot your course and make sure you don’t miss the unmissable. In one week, many of city’s finest galleries will be kicking off the season with major solo exhibitions, including Paul McCarthy at Xavier Hufkens, Marcel Broodthaers at Albert Baronian, and Didier Vermeiren at Galerie Greta Meert. There are also some knockout group exhibitions, like the trio of painters Pierre Alechinsky, Karel Appel, and Fred Bervoets at Radolphe Janssen gallery, opening September 8.

Savor this down time, because before you know it, the crowds will be back and you’ll be hopping from opening to opening. Actually, now that I think about it—I can’t get to get back into it. Goodbye summer, and bring on gallery season!
