Startup Designs Computer to Show Art

E01 Computer in the Home Photo: Electric Objects

New York-based startup Electric Objects has developed a computer designed exclusively to show art, CNET reports. The device features a framed full HD screen that can be hung on the wall, and displays art that can be easily changed.

The creators of Electric Objects are collaborating with a various artists, museums and libraries so that users can display art from around the world and images from the internet in their home.

Using a crowdsourcing campaign via Kickstarter, which ends August 7, the company has raised almost $700,000 from almost 2,000 individual donors.  People can give between $25 to $4,999 for perks ranging from a t-shirt to an E01 framed computer.
