The artist list for the main exhibition of the 56th Venice Biennale is out. “All the World’s Futures,” curated by Okwui Enwezor, promises to be a politically and socially minded show, featuring artists like Tania Bruguera (see How Tania Bruguera’s Whisper Became the Performance Heard Round the World), Thomas Hirschhorn, Jeremy Deller, and Coco Fusco. The show will include several relatively new collectives, such as the Gulf Labor coalition (see Protests at New York’s Guggenheim Calls Attention to Labor Conditions at UAE Expansion), Aboundaddara, and the e-flux Journal, and events like the Creative Time Summit.
