The Kardashians may be reality TV royalty, but at least one artist is refusing to roll out the red carpet for the famous family: Plastic Jesus, who has been dubbed the Banksy of LA, has peppered the city with seven mock parking regulation signs reading “No Kardashian Parking Anytime.”

It’s no “Break the Internet,” but Plastic Jesus’ follow-up to the coke-snorting Oscar statue that ruffled feathers in February is getting its fair share of attention online.

Plastic Jesus shared imaged of the signs on Instagram yesterday with an array of hashtags referencing the reality stars and the neighborhoods and businesses near where the artists posted his signs. If the artist has his way, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and the gang won’t be shopping at Urban Outfitters anytime soon.

“The Kardashian family has become ingrained in our culture,” Plastic Jesus told the Hollywood Reporter. “We’ve allowed mainstream media to become so profit-driven, we are sacrificing genuine news stories to satiate our vapid celebrity obsessions.”

Plastic Jesus was inspired by watching a swarm of paparazzi photograph one of the Kardashian sisters as she left a store on Melrose Avenue, a non-event that was elevated to a news story. Of course, he noted, without public demand, “there would be no market for the Kardashians. We are equally, if not more so, to blame.”

In response to criticism from an Instagrammer accusing him of “defacing public property” and incriminating himself in the crime on social media, Plastic Jesus promised that the signs “are being removed tomorrow morning. Mission accomplished. ‘Fortune favors the brave.'”
