Ringo Starr—yes, that Ringo Starr—has created a series of self portraits and other works, which are set to go on display at Soho Contemporary Art next week. According the gallery, “what started merely as a diversion to pass the time, has since developed into an iconic collection of artwork.” On June 19th, the collection will be unveiled during a VIP opening reception at the gallery, where Starr will be in attendance. But to in order to go, you must be one of the first 50 people to purchase a signed piece from the collection (contact the gallery for more information and an exhibition catalogue).

Starr’s works represent the “peace and love” lifestyle he ardently championed as a member of the Beatles. From tie-dyed guns with knots at the ends and “Imagine” emblazoned on the sides, to a Warholian quadrant of Ringo faces, they are fitting collectibles for any Beatles fan or 1960s culture enthusiast. Or, for anyone who wants the chance to meet Ringo Starr.
