The international art world is spending the week in Hong Kong, which is hosting the fifth iteration of the fair Art Basel Hong Kong. With an array of impressive artworks on view and early reports of strong sales, the week got off to a great start, with gallerists feeling confident and buyers excited.

One thing that stood out this year is the number of artists present, with Ryan Gander and Mark Bradford spotted at the fair, among many others.

Collectors, including the Swiss Asian art buyer Uli Sigg, were hunting for new acquisitions, while curators— including the globetrotting Hans Ulrich Obrist, Klaus Biesenbach, and Jens Hoffmann—were spotted checking the latest artistic trends.

Champagne was the beverage of choice for the well-heeled international art crowd, while dealers could be found lining up for a caffeine fix to combat the brutal jet lag from the long-haul flight to the far east.

If you are one of the ones that couldn’t make it to the fair, fear not, we’ve got you covered with our comprehensive photo roundup of Art Basel Hong Kong.
