Roxanne Lowit spoke on the occasion of the opening night of Be Fabulous, her mini-retrospective currently on view through January 18 at the Steven Kasher Gallery in New York City. Known for her photographs of the rich, famous, and beautiful, Lowit began documenting the behind-the-scenes of the fashion world in the late 1970s. Since then, her photographs have appeared in magazines such as the Italian Vanity Fair, French Elle, and Glamour. In addition, her works have often appeared in advertising campaigns for brands such as Möet & Chandon, Dior, and Vivienne Westwood. Watch the video to learn more about the artist.
