The 2014 FIFA World Cup may have ended. But, despite the fact that the ball is no longer being kicked, the boots that kicked the final’s decisive, winning goal are up for auction. Online auction house United Charity, which benefits children in need, is selling a range of World Cup paraphernalia from the winning German team.

At the time of writing, Manuel Neuer’s goalkeeping gloves were the most desired item, with a bid of €13,050. Winning goalscorer Mario Götze’s custom made, neon green Nike Magista boots stood at €2,000. Head coach Joachim Löw donated his Strenesse trenchcoat, which was at €800. An official match ball signed by German chancellor Angela Merkel held a bid of €2,250.

All proceeds of the charity auction will go towards the Fairchance Charity which works to improve the learning conditions of socially disadvantaged schoolchildren. The auction runs until the beginning of August.
