It was followed by Zhang Xiaogang’s Bloodline Series-Big Family: Comrade, which fetched HK$6,040,000 (US$782,784), also at the lower end of its estimate.

The third best lot was for Zeng’s work on paper Mask Series: Sky, which sold for HK$1,960,000 (US$254,016), setting a new record for a work on paper by the artist.
