At Derek Eller, Jesse Greenberg Captures Quantum Slime Mold

THE DAILY PIC: Objects so weird, they could be growths or devices.

THE DAILY PIC (#1309): This deeply weird, goopy picture – or “object”, I guess – is by Jesse Greenberg, and I saw it in his solo show at Derek Eller Gallery in New York. Greenberg’s Body Scan 2 manages a complex mix of the biological and the electronic – like slime mold growing on a printed circuit. And even though it takes up a good chunk of wall, for me it evokes the world of the extra-small, as though it were a vast magnification of quantum forces at work.
