Big art fairs tend to attract satellites. Just look at the frenzy of events surrounding Art Basel in Miami Beach. But in Paris, FIAC has taken the matter into its own hands. (OFF)ICIELLE will launch next October alongside the main fair.

Also directed by Jennifer Flay, the new fair will accommodate around 60 contemporary art galleries, with a focus on emerging artists. (OFF)ICIELLE is to be hosted in the 13th arrondissement at Les Docks – Cité de la Mode et du Design. The move, probably prompted by the limited space available at the Grand Palais, will also bring the area’s the many cultural organizations into play, including the Bibliothèque nationale de France, Bétonsalon, and the Institut du Monde Arabe.

(OFF)ICIELLE is organized by the trade fair giant Reed Exhibitions, which is also behind FIAC, Paris Photo, and VIENNAFAIR. FIAC also recently announced an expansion to Los Angeles.
