Financial and marketing guru and fair veteran Florence Bourgeois has taken over as director of the Paris Photo art fair, which expanded in 2013 to Los Angeles. The new artistic director for both venues is Christoph Wiesner, senior director at Yvon Lambert Gallery, Paris, since 2012.

Bourgeois replaces Julien Frydman, who left last month after heading up Paris Photo for four years (see Julien Frydman Quits Paris Photo).

Paris Photo’s 18th edition took place in November 2014. (See Take a Sneak Peek at Riches of Paris Photo 2014.) Paris Photo LA’s third outing will take place May 1–3 at Paramount Pictures Studios. (For a look back at its second iteration, see Paris Photo LA Returns With Strong Solo Shows and the LAPD’s Archives.)

Before her two-and-a-half years as managing director at Pavilion of Art and Design, a Paris and London fair, Bourgeois worked in the LVMH luxury brand group in financial and marketing positions. Wiesner had been a director at Berlin gallery Esther Schipper (and its earlier incarnation, Schipper & Krome) since 1997 prior to working with Lambert.
