artnet welcomes Post-War and contemporary art specialist Jacqueline Towers-Perkins. Coming to artnet from her native London, she brings extensive knowledge of the European art market and a particular expertise in online art platforms. Towers-Perkins is excited to tap into the vast potential of buying and selling works on artnet Auctions, and is thrilled at the opportunity to offer works in a variety of categories and price points for both new and seasoned collectors alike.
Towers-Perkins previously served as a Post-War and contemporary art specialist at Paddle8 and as the head of the paintings department at a London auction house. She received her master’s degree in art business from the Sotheby’s Institute of Art after earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Leeds. She is also on the board of trustees for a London-based educational charity supporting young people in the arts.
Currently, Towers-Perkins is preparing for artnet’s upcoming “Contemporary Editions” sale (June 21–30, 2016). This auction will feature heavy-hitters of contemporary art alongside sought-after urban artists, including rarely seen works by Banksy, Ed Ruscha, David Hockney, and KAWS.
