VIDEO: A Day in The Life of a Parisian Art Dealer–Meet Agnès Monplaisir

Join the dealer for a day running a Parisian gallery.

Agnès Monplaisir is a force: her growth and success as a Parisian gallerist is characterized by confidence, determination and an unparalleled eye for international artistic talent including the Colombian Olga de Amaral. She’s been so successful that now she’s growing bigger.

Opening her first gallery at the age of 18, she has grown it through 8 different locations to her current expansive space, and will open future galleries in New York , London and São Paulo.

Monplaisir is deeply invested in her artists, from all over the world, and committed to connecting their works and their diverse world perspectives to a larger international audience. Not only does she open her country estate for exhibitions but she hosts artists in residence looking for a peaceful location in which to create. She also participates in international art fairs.

We caught up with her in Paris to capture a snapshot of her working life.
