The fair is broken into seven sectors, balancing galleries’ curated booths of inventory with special projects both intimate and grandiose. Prints and multiples receive special attention this year as it is the first year for Edition, a sector of the fair in which established artists and top publishers of editioned work will display the fruit of their collaboration. Be sure to check out Gemini G.E.L and Two Palms while you’re there. The traditional art fair sector, Galleries, will be the center of activity. Be sure not to miss Alexander and Bonin, displaying conceptual sculpture by Rita McBride (American, b.1960), and Van Doren Waxter, displaying many abstract Contemporary artist such as Sam Francis (American, 1923–1994) and Richard Diebenkorn (American, 1922–1993). Galerie Urs Meile, Bejing and Lucerne, which will be exhibiting Contemporary Chinese artwork, including the video work of Cheng Ran (Chinese, b.1981) and Annely Juda, and which represents the estate of the late Modern master sculpture Anthony Caro (British, 1924–2013), will surely have some treasures in their booth.

When visitors have their fill of the indoors, but are still in the mood to revel in human creativity, they can do it on a monumental scale, experiencing the sector Public in Collin’s Park. Galleries in conjunction with the Bass Museum will present outdoor sculpture, inventions, and performances. Attendees will soak in the Miami sun while exploring the work of Carol Bove (Swiss, b.1971), represented by David Zwirner, as well as the sculptures of Matias Faldbakken (Norwegian, 1973), represented by Simon Lee.
