In Season 1, Episode 8, Jim hires a new assistant to help him with his everyday tasks. During her first week at the gallery, Jim becomes aware of her shortcomings and questions the truth behind her resume. He encourages her to ask questions and offers his guidance, but will this be enough to help her become the assistant Jim needs?

The Madness of Art chronicles the daily happenings at Jim Kempner Fine Art. The Chelsea art dealer began the production of this four-season web series a decade ago, and started posting the episodes in 2010. Kempner’s contemporary art gallery features works by artists such as Ellsworth Kelly (American, b.1923), Robert Motherwell (American, 1915–1991), and Elizabeth Peyton (American, b.1965).
