Last night, art collector and environmental activist Leonardo DiCaprio hosted a star-studded fundraising gala for his Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation in St Tropez, France. The event raised $40 million that will go towards protecting biodiversity, ocean and forest conservation, and mitigating climate change.

In addition to a guest list dotted with the names of celebrities like John Legend (who gave an after dinner performance), Sylvester Stallone, Kate Hudson, Naomi Campbell, Goldie Hawn, Heidi Klum, Orlando Bloom, Petra Nemcova, and Michelle Rodriguez, the evening included a rousing auction conducted by Simon de Pury.

The auction featured a Monet portrait donated by David Nahmad, a Lichtenstein sculpture given by Jho Low, Picasso drawings given by David Benrimon, a Rodin sculpture from John Sayegh-Belchatowski, sculptures by Takashi Murakami and Frank Stella given by Marianne Boesky Gallery, a Rudolf Stingel given by Gagosian, and a Julian Schnabel plate portrait donated by the artist himself.

DiCaprio parted with two 1964 Warhols, Flowers and Liz, from his own collection.

David Benrimon reportedly took home a Richard Prince cowboy painting donated by the artist himself, while billionaire Len Blavatnik bought a painting by the Stingel for $900,000.

Also on the auction block was an original life vest from Titanic, cuff links from The Great Gatsby, and a walk-on role in an upcoming DiCaprio vehicle.
