After a near sold-out run in London, the V&A’s retrospective on pop cultural legend David Bowie touches down in Berlin this summer. Announced on Thursday “David Bowie” runs from May 20th to August 10th at the Martin-Gropius-Bau. The show is a homecoming of sorts for Bowie, who lived in the German capital from 1976-1978. Some of his most productive years, the glam-rock king put out three albums during the period : Heroes (1977), Low (1977), and Lodger (1979). As such, Bowie has gone on to command quite a cult-like following in the city who will no doubt be on their toes to get a glimpse. Summer blockbuster? We say yes.
