Lady Gaga will play Art Basel in Miami Beach 2014. Or, rather, a video in which she stars will be playing at the mega-fair.

Art Basel announced on Tuesday the artists and exhibitors who will show in its Kabinett sector, which highlights the curatorial endeavors of featured galleries through very focused solo presentations and historic group exhibitions. Among them will be Robert Wilson’s series of video portraits based on canonical works from the Louvre’s collection—including Lady Gaga posed as the figure in Jacques-Louis David’s The Death of Marat (1793)—shown by Berlin’s Galerie Thomas Schulte.

Another outfit from the German capital, the photography gallery Kicken Berlin, will mount a mini survey bringing together photos from the 1970s and 80s made by artists from East and West Germany. New York’s Van Doren Waxter Gallery will organize another historic show devoted to the earliest assemblages and collages Joseph Cornell made from found objects and materials. Paris’s Galerie Jocelyn Wolff will take a more focused approach to historic fodder, showing a series of 34 drawings Miriam Cahn created over the course of nine months in 1996.

On the more contemporary end of this year’s Kabinett presentations, Kavi Gupta will be showing new bronze sculptures by Mickalene Thomas, a dramatic departure for an artist best known for her paintings, video, photography, and installation work. And for the selfie crowd, Lehmann Maupin will be bringing Teresita Fernandez’s large and highly reflective sculpture Rorschach (2013–14).
