Looking for a place to stay this December in Miami Beach that’s a bit more spacious than some of our hotel suggestions? Look no farther than Airbnb. For those uninitiated, Airbnb is a website that allows users around the world to rent their rooms, apartments, and houses to guests for what’s typically a hefty profit on their end, but often still cheaper than a hotel for travelers. It’s a win-win, and recently, the company has even delved into arts patronage with a project during the London Design Festival.
While many listings are just practical studios and one-bedrooms, it’s also easy to stumble upon ten bedroom mansions, picturesque villas, and even a fully staffed boat—with the price tags one would expect for such things, of course. For a cool $12,530 per night (which adds up to almost 40k for a three night stay), you can have ten bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and of course, water dockage for your sea vessel of choice. An evening’s stay at a five bedroom villa will set you back a comparatively manageable $3,000, while the “fully crewed” boat is a steal at $1,220 a night.
These accommodations (and the amusingly overwrought adjectives often used to describe them) are undeniably beautiful, so much so that we wonder if we’d actually want to leave them and actually attend the fair.
