Björk Gets MoMA Retrospective

After Marina Abramović in 2010, MoMA is preparing to celebrate another great performer: Björk. Costumes, instruments, and video collaborations from the Icelandic pop singer’s extensive career are to be showcased in a major retrospective in New York, opening in 2015.

The show will follow a biographical narrative written by the Icelandic writer Sjón Sigurdsson and Björk herself, the Telegraph reports. It will present the artist’s life with a few detours into fictional territory. The exhibition will also feature a newly-commissioned film and music project.

The news comes only days after it was announced that Björk’s app designed for her 2011 Biophilia album entered the museum’s permanent collection.
