Le Monde Publishes Latest Installment of Comic Book Series about Pablo Picasso

Today the French newspaper Le Monde starts publishing the fourth installment of Pablo, a series of comic strips (bande dessinées) about Pablo Picasso. The story is by Julie Birmant, with drawings by Clément Oubrerie. The strip, which began in 2012, chronicles the story of a young Spanish painter in Montmartre, Paris, who will soon become famous.

There’s no need to read the previous installment to enjoy this fourth and final one, titled Picasso. It picks up the story in 1907, when Cubism was first emerging.

Le Monde is publishing one chapter a week, prior to a book release in book shops on March 21.
