Olaf Breuning’s Clouds Opens Today in Central Park

Olaf Breuning, Clouds, 2014; Rendering; Courtesy Public Art Fund, NY

Clouds, a 35-foot tall piece featuring six large, childlike clouds of polished blue aluminum, opens today in Central Park, just in time for Armory Week. Blending reality with fiction and refined forms with a do-it-yourself sensibility, this whimsical addition to the Manhattan skyline is Breuning‘s largest public installation in the US.

The sculpture will be on display in Doris C. Freedman plaza until August 24, 2014.
