Turner Prize winner Jeremy Deller has always been into multiples. LPs, tote bags, and t-shirts used to be the thing, but now the Turner Prize winner is taking the idea to the next level by releasing 10,000 images to be downloaded as unique pieces.
The project celebrates the 10th anniversary of Own Art, a scheme which allows art buyers to borrow up to £2,500 towards their purchase, interest-free.
Own Art commissioned Deller to produce an animation, and this will be split into 10,000 stills, the free artworks. The images will be available from July 7th, and the whole animation shown in shopping centres across London on Saturday 19th. Anyone who downloads a piece will automatically become part of the Own Art scheme.
