If you are in Paris this week, take in the remarkable digital installations at the Grand Palais by moonlight.

The Art Paris Art Fair launches its 2015 session today. This year’s focus on Singapore and Southeast Asia coincides with the Singapore Art Festival at the Palais de Tokyo, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the city-state’s independence.

Housed at the Grand Palais in Paris, the art fair, which runs through March 29, promises burgeoning talent from the region and has kicked off its agenda with large-scale projections on the building’s facade.

The Grand Palais will project these monumental digital pieces on its exterior every night, from 6 pm to midnight, for the duration of the fair. (See: Niki de Saint Phalle’s Rifle Art Storms the Grand Palais.)

Three works have been selected to run in a loop: teamLAB‘s Universe of Water Particles (2015), Dominic Harris‘s A Concentric Study (2015), and Mounir Fatmi‘s Modern Times—A History of the Machine (2010).

Japanese group teamLAB, represented by Galerie Bogena, comprises 350 members who focus on experimental productions. They tend to the intersection of art, science and technology, and as such, have delivered a masterful waterfall project for Art Paris Art Fair, turning the Grand Palais’ facade into one giant digital cascade. Harris and Cinimod Studio, represented by Sarah Myerscough Gallery, bring you a work inspired by M.C. Escher‘s optical illusion. Harris, an interactive artist, works mainly with electronic and lighting.

Fatmi‘s piece explores movement, speed, and time. The graphics combine inspiration from Marcel Duchamp, a Charlie Chaplin film, and Arabic calligraphy. The artist is represented by Galerie Analix.
