Howard Stern Painted a Daffodil as a Retirement Present for David Letterman

Howard Stern, the inflammatory radio host, has recently taken up watercolors.
His wife, Beth Ostrosky Stern, sold him out to Vulture, revealing the retirement of pal David Letterman moved him to drag out his paint brush. “Howard gave Dave a painting to give to his wife on his last appearance last week,” she said. “He gave David Letterman’s wife a daffodil. It’s amazing.”
Apparently, the shock jock also knows his way around a canvas—Ostrosky Stern claims to have “commissioned” a series of flower portraits from her husband, which so far includes a rose, a lilac, a petunia, and a peony.
“I am a collector of Howard Stern’s art, and I am the only collector,” she told Vulture. “They’re definitely works of art. People want to buy them, and he’s like, ‘They’re not for sale.'”
An April 2014 tweet from the radio host shows two not-terrible apples he sketched while in the studio of his Sirius XM show. His followers, of course, clamor for him to turn his talents toward “drawing live nude models!”
