Hundreds of pieces of rare Hollywood memorabilia are going under the hammer at Julien’s Auctions in Beverley Hills.

The items in the sale span several generations of actresses and actors, from the stars of early black and white films to today’s mega-budget blockbusters.

The highlight of the auction is a rose-printed silk crepe dress, with a v-back, worn by Marilyn Monroe in her final movie, Something’s Got to Give (1962). The dress was designed and hand-made by the production’s costume designer Jean Louis and features an ivory-colored soufflé-lining. The one-of-a-kind dress is estimated to fetch $400,000 to $600,000.

Other important pieces of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia include a signed white glove, estimated to sell for $8,000 to $10,000; a copy of an x-ray from 1954, estimated to sell for $8,000-10,000; several signed photographs, and much more.

Memorabilia from other productions featured in the Hollywood Legends auction also includes a leather jacket worn by Michelle Pfeiffer in Grease II (1982) estimated to sell for $5,000 to $7,000; Hugh Jackman’s dog tags from X Men (2000) estimated to fetch $1,000 to $3,000; and several Star Trek tunics worn by William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, and DeForest Kelley, estimates range from $15,000 to $70,000 (see Leonard Nimoy, Photographer, Art Collector, and Beloved Star Trek Actor, Dead at 83).

Julien’s Auctions regularly sells Hollywood memorabilia and has previously sold Marilyn Monroe-related items such as the actress’ love letters to her husband, Joe DiMaggio (see Joe DiMaggio’s Love and Loss Letters to Marilyn Monroe Go to Auction).

The Hollywood Legends auction takes place at Julien’s Auctions, Beverley Hills on June 26 and June 27.
