Nude performance artist Milo Moiré just can’t stop: she will be back for more naked selfies this week at the NRW-Forum museum in Düsseldorf, Germany, according to a caps-filled press release issued by the artist.

“MILO MOIRÉ as nude AVATAR of self-exposure: ‘SHOW EVERYTHING AND YOU ARE!'” reads the release’s opening line, inviting museum patrons to pose for a selfie with Moiré, who, as per her usual, won’t be wearing any clothes.

Moiré first came to artnet News’s attention at Art Cologne in 2014, when she stripped down for “PlopEgg” Painting Performance–A Birth of a Picture, which involved splattering a canvas with paint-filled eggs that she squeezed from her vagina. She followed that act by showing up nude at Art Basel that year, her body painted with the names of the articles of clothing she had neglected to put on. For 2015 she opted to remain outside the Swiss fair, where she debuted the now-infamous Naked Selfie, posing nude with visitors. (During this time, she also carried a baby around at the LWL Museum of Art and Culture in Münster, Germany, while nude.)

The piece’s next performance, on September 18, coincides with the opening of “Ego Update: The Future of the Digital Identity at NRW” at the German museum. As she has done in the past, Moiré, sans clothing, will use a remote-controlled camera mounted on a tripod to snap selfies with eager museumgoers.

And what, may you ask, is the point of all this picture-taking? According to the release, the performance artwork selfies “caricature the pop-cultural mass phenomenon of self-portraits in social media.”

“The people who take a nude selfie with me actually disclose something about themselves, present themselves to the world with a statement,” explained Moiré in her own statement.

“Through this physical, bodily interaction between me as a self-exposing avatar and the people wanting a selfie, I want to establish a point of contact between the real and the digital revelation of intimacy,” she added. “A new meta-level of self-staging emerges.”

Of course, wearing your birthday suit in public has its risks: at a Naked Selfie performance in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris this summer, Moiré was arrested.
