In Season 2, Episode 1, Jim visits the Museum of Modern Art in New York, to view the critically acclaimed Marina Abramovic (Serbian, b.1946) exhibition. Later in the episode, Jim’s new client asks to see Andy Warhol (American, 1928–1987) portraits that he has in his inventory. The client specifically requests to see works portraying deceased figures, but finds an issue with various pieces that Jim suggests. She eventually makes a surprising choice. Which Warhol portrait will the client purchase?
In the new season of The Madness of Art, Jim Kempner continues to portray the daily life of a gallery owner in Chelsea.
