Peter Brant, Jr.’s Lawyer Calls Him an ‘Idiot’ Following Drunken Airport Outburst
Brant Jr. took to Instagram to air his grievances.
The art world enjoyed an intense bout of schadenfreude yesterday as news broke that Peter Brant Jr., the socialite son of supermodel Stephanie Seymour and billionaire collector and publishing magnate Peter Brant, was arrested at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
According to a report in Page Six, the elder Brant brother was “drunk and belligerent” at the airport on the evening of March 23. Port Authority police were called to the scene when he became hostile after being barred from boarding his flight to Florida by JetBlue staff member, who thought he was too intoxicated to fly. He was later released on $5,000 bail.
While neither of his famous parents have publicly commented on the incident, his own lawyer is apparently less than impressed.
“He is an idiot,” Greenwich-based attorney Philip Russell told Page Six.
Furthering said idiocy, Brant Jr. took to Instagram, where he maintains over 58,000 followers, to make light of the situation. Underneath a vintage picture of Joan Collins looking chic beside a pile of Louis Vuitton luggage, Brant wrote: “Airports are a bitch… #allaboutspacretravel #catchmeifyoucan.”
The snap has since received almost 1,000 likes, and one user sagely advised: “Private jet is the only way to go!”
