Art Dubai has announced the line up for its 2015 Projects program, which will feature 11 artists and collectives across Art Dubai Commissions, and the A.i.R Dubai residencies.

The 2015 Commissions program is curated by Lara Khaldi and will feature site-specific works by mid-career regional and international artists, which will be installed at the fair and the city at large.

The five commissioned artists are Jumana Emil Abboud, Maria Thereza Alves, Fari Bradley & Chris Weaver, Mehreen Murtaza, and the collective Umashankar and the Earchaeologists—formed by Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Nida Ghouse and Umashankar Manthravadi. All the commissions are designed to extend beyond the duration of the fair.

Khaldi has also curated the residency program A.i.R Dubai, a collaboration between Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Tashkeel, Delfina Foundation and Art Dubai. The six selected artists for 2015 are Mohammed Ahmed Ibrahim, Hind Mezaina, Sharmeen Syed, Jessica Mein, Mehraneh Atashi, and Rheim Alkadhi.

The ninth edition of Art Dubai will take place from March 18 to 21, 2015, featuring 91 galleries from 40 countries, as well as talks and lectures, as part of the Global Art Forum.

The fair will also feature the Abraaj Group Art Prize exhibition, curated by this year by Whitechapel Gallery curator Omar Kholeif. It will gather works by 2015 winner Yto Barrada and shortlisted artists Sarnath Banerjee, Setareh Shahbazi, and Mounira Al Solh.
