In Jim Kempner’s The Madness of Art, the art dealer exposes the everyday happenings at Jim Kempner Fine Art. This four–season video series, which has been posted since 2010, features characters such as the gallery’s real-life collectors, taxi drivers, garage attendant, and artists.

In Season 1, Episode 3, one of the prominent members of the Pop art movement, Robert Indiana (American b.1928), surprises Jim. New York-based artist Indiana, who is best known for his LOVE series, defines himself as a “sign painter.” In the episode, the artist comes to Jim Kempner Fine Art to argue about the authenticity of his work that hangs in the gallery.
