Never mind that the madness of Art Basel in Miami Beach is still more than two months off (see “Art Basel in Miami Beach 2014 Boasts an Intimidating 267 Galleries“); the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) Art Show is already looking ahead to Armory Week, and is the first of that week’s fairs to announce its slate of exhibitors for next year’s event.

When the Art Show hits New York’s Park Avenue Armory, March 4–8, 2015, it will mark its 27th edition, making it the country’s longest running fine art fair. The event’s 72 dealers, six of which will be participating for the first time, will each present a curated selection of work, with solo, two-person, and themed booth exhibitions.

The Art Show is organized by the ADAA, and will benefit the Henry Street Settlement. Though many fairs have decamped to Frieze Week in May, the Art Show still has plenty of competition earlier in the year.

ADAA president Dorsey Waxter remains confident in the Art Fair’s ability to rise above the fray, saying in a press release that even “given the proliferation of art fairs, ADAA’s fair remains unique. Whether it is a solo or two-person show, or a thematic presentation, each booth at the Art Show is a finely curated exhibition. ADAA dealers conceive and install significant exhibits at our fair and use it as an opportunity to advance their gallery’s vision.”

Visitors can look forward to Wade Guyton at Petzel Gallery, Tracey Emin at Lehmann Maupin, and a historical Nam June Paik show at Carl Solway Gallery. Peter Freeman, Inc. and Fraenkel Gallery will team up for a self portraiture exhibition titled “Mirror/Mirror,” while Maxwell Davidson Gallery will focus on Op art in “The Responsive Eye at 50.”
